Day 13 (March 22) - FAMILIES

March 22, 2024

Jesus was telling His disciples how difficult it would be for people to give up earthly comforts and family to follow Him. Peter reminded Him that the twelve had left everything to follow Him. Jesus replied, “Everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for My name's sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life” (Matthew 19:29). Muslim families extend to aunts, uncles, cousins and beyond.

Ask God to prepare whole families and clans to hear and believe together so they could be discipled into obedience to Christ without having to abandon the natural relationships that are so significant to them. Pray they would embrace Jesus’ promise of better rewards and that as they make the decision to follow Jesus Christ, those they love would follow them (Acts 10:27-48). Pray for a family you know (if you don’t know a family, ask God for one).

About Loving Muslims Together

Loving Muslims Together exists because God’s love, demonstrated through Jesus Christ, is for Muslims. We function as local networks across Canada. We work to connect people and churches to opportunities, training and resources to help them build bridges to their Muslim neighbours, living out God’s love in word and deed.

No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength and all your mind. And your neighbor as yourself.
