Day 23 (April 1) - CHRISTIAN REFUGEES

April 1, 2024

Canada is home to many Christian refugees who fled persecution in Muslim-majority nations, as well as those who chose to relocate to escape Islamic oppression. Many are horrified that Canada welcomes the people groups that oppressed them and mystified why Canadian churches sponsor Muslim refugees who reject the Gospel rather than rescuing suffering Christians.

Pray for honest dialogue about these concerns among believers in which everyone feels they’ve been heard and loved as family. Pray Kingdom principles will transcend cultural differences and draw God’s family together. Pray that churches will be very intentional about seeking the Holy Spirit’s guidance regarding sponsorship. (Galatians 6:10; Ephesians 5:15-17)

About Loving Muslims Together

Loving Muslims Together exists because God’s love, demonstrated through Jesus Christ, is for Muslims. We function as local networks across Canada. We work to connect people and churches to opportunities, training and resources to help them build bridges to their Muslim neighbours, living out God’s love in word and deed.

No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength and all your mind. And your neighbor as yourself.
