Day 30 (April 8) - CHRISTIAN CONFIDANTES
April 8, 2024
The social cohesion of Muslim communities may seem enviable to Western Christians. The negative side of cohesion can be such strong pressure to attend mosque and conform to communal norms that individuals feel trapped and experience hopelessness, even despair. Muslims are often more willing to confide in Christians about their problems than in other Muslims who would regard their “weakness” as shameful and even dangerous.
Pray Christians would recognize when Muslim friends need comfort and encouragement and be trustworthy confidantes. Pray for gentle boldness and the faith to pray for them in Jesus’ name. Pray their burden would be removed, and that they would see answers to those prayers and would give glory to Jesus. (Proverbs 18:24, Matthew 11:28-30)
