WEDNESDAY, February 18: PREPARATION

February 18, 2026

There are nearly 2 million Muslims in Canada, almost 5% of our population and growing. Though not uniform in practice, they are united by faith in a God, a book, and a prophet. They have the command and various strategies to extend the “House of Islam”. And they are formidable in prayer.

  • Build your faith. Take time to worship Yahweh, the God whose relentless love sends Him after the lost, who planned our salvation from before the foundation of the world, who sent His Son Jesus (whose Hebrew name Yeshua means salvation) as a sacrifice for all: the risen victorious King of the Nations who graciously invites us to be with Him where He is. Worship the God for whom nothing is impossible,
  • Make your own list of His attributes and extol Him for His virtues throughout the day.

Some songs suggested for your worship (or choose your own):

Lion and the Lamb (Leeland)

God So Loved (We the Kingdom)

Psalm 46 (Shane & Shane)

What a Beautiful Name (Hillsong Worship)

Christus Victor (Amen) (Keith & Kristyn Getty)

O the Deep Deep Love of Jesus (Brian Doerksen)

The Love of God is Greater Far (Selah)

About Loving Muslims Together

Loving Muslims Together exists because God’s love, demonstrated through Jesus Christ, is for Muslims. We function as local networks across Canada. We work to connect people and churches to opportunities, training and resources to help them build bridges to their Muslim neighbours, living out God’s love in word and deed.

No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion.

Nelson Mandela

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength and all your mind. And your neighbor as yourself.
