Read Genesis 22:1-18

Canadian Yasmine Mohammed, a former Muslim, has become a globally influential polemicist against Islam and activist for abused and closeted Muslims. She writes in her memoir, Unveiled, that because of the cruelty she suffered in Islam, she cannot accept any God who would command Abraham to kill his son.

  • Declare your faith that Father’s heart has hope and healing for every abused and wounded soul.
  • A verse in the hymn Crown Him with Many Crowns depicts angels with burning eyes, unable to bear the sight of Jesus’ “rich wounds” of crucifixion, and describes as a mystery how the wounds become “in beauty glorified”. Pray for Yasmine and those like her to be healed from the ravages of Islam to see God’s command to Abraham as foreshadowing what He and His Son would do together to bless all humankind, and to be comforted in the revelation of YHWH’s sacrificial love that destroys sin.

About Loving Muslims Together

Loving Muslims Together exists because God’s love, demonstrated through Jesus Christ, is for Muslims. We function as local networks across Canada. We work to connect people and churches to opportunities, training and resources to help them build bridges to their Muslim neighbours, living out God’s love in word and deed.

No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength and all your mind. And your neighbor as yourself.
