For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.  (Romans 8:38-39)

Fear is a powerful motivator in Islam: fear of failure to earn Allah’s favor, fear of judgment and Hell, and fear of the communal zeal to enforce conformity and protect the faith. Muslims must count the cost, even of their lives, of acknowledging Jesus.

Fear of God for Christians is reverential awe (Hebrews 12:28-29) and confidence that no one can snatch us out of the Father’s hand (John 10:29).

  • Sit before the LORD and consider the ties of birth, belief, family, and community binding Muslims to Islam versus the inestimable value of following Christ. Pray the love of the Father prevails over fear.
  • Pray new believers will be shielded by angels (Hebrews 1:14) and loved sacrificially by the Church.

About Loving Muslims Together

Loving Muslims Together exists because God’s love, demonstrated through Jesus Christ, is for Muslims. We function as local networks across Canada. We work to connect people and churches to opportunities, training and resources to help them build bridges to their Muslim neighbours, living out God’s love in word and deed.

No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength and all your mind. And your neighbor as yourself.
