“I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is My flesh.” …After this many of His disciples turned back and no longer walked with Him. So Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you want to go away as well?” Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and have come to know, that You are the Holy One of God.”  (John 6:51, 66-69)

Jesus’ teaching was outrageous to human thinking, yet a few discerned the source of eternal life.

  • If possible, share communion with someone (online or in person) and give thanks for what God’s anointed Son purposed and accomplished in His flesh as a sinless human being.
  • Praise God for the mystery revealed: Christ in us, the hope of glory, and pray God will make known the greatness of the riches of this glory among Muslims, in your neighborhood and across Canada. (Colossians 1:27)
  • Simon Peter was a simple man, but passionate. Pray for the revelation of this mystery to take hold of simple people with the passion to make it known to others within the Muslim community.

No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength and all your mind. And your neighbor as yourself.
