“When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe. But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armor in which the man trusted and divides up his plunder.” (Luke 11:21-22 NIV)
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed…” (Luke 4:18 referring to Isaiah 61:1)
One of the pieces of armor that protects the “strong man” of Islam is faith in the perfection of the Qur’an. Evidence increasingly challenges that claim, while evidence for the reliability of the biblical text grows.
- In the Spirit of Jesus, proclaim liberty to those held captive to denial of the Qur’an’s fallibility.
- In the same Spirit, proclaim recovering of sight for those blinded to evidence of the Bible’s reliability and inspiration by the Spirit of God.
