Love Your Muslims Neighbours: Prayer & Learning Event, by CCOWE Canada and LMT

LMT & Partners Event

Date / May 23, 2023 (Tuesday)

Location / 5-6:15pm (PST) / 8-9:15pm (EST)

With nearly 2 million Muslims living across Canada, chances are some of them live right in your neighbourhood, on your street, or even right next door. They may look outwardly different from us, but many are immigrant families adapting to a foreign culture, just like us. Or they may be children of immigrants caught between two worlds, just like us. And just like us, they come from all walks of life: they may be professionals or labourers, business owners or your coworkers.

To mobilize cross-cultural gospel ministries locally, CCCOWE Canada and Loving Muslims Together ministry are partnering to equip Chinese churches in Canada for reaching our Muslim neighbours. For our May 23 prayer & learning event, we have invited Rev. Matthew Chiu, retired senior pastor of Scarborough Chinese Alliance Church, to share with us his experience and insights from 14 years of leading SCAC in connecting, engaging, and caring for South Asian Muslim friends.

Join us to learn about our Muslim neighbours and to pray for them, that they may be open to receiving the saving gospel of Christ!

Mosque communities are often the target of hate and racism, but we are called to love. Perhaps the most loving thing we can do is to pray. Use this monthly blog to help inspire prayers of love and compassion for those who call your neighbourhood mosque their home.

No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion.

Nelson Mandela

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength and all your mind. And your neighbor as yourself.
