Something incredible is happening within the Muslim world. Muslims abroad and in Canada are confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in an unprecedented way. "There are nine geo-cultural 'rooms' in the 'House of Islam,' and the Wind of God's Spirit is blowing through every one of them" (David Garrison, author of ‘A Wind in the House of Islam’).
Starting this month we will be exploring the presence of people from the ‘9 rooms’ in Canada—where they are, who’s ministering among them, and what we can learn as we engage with them. This month we will feature the room of East Africa.
You are invited to hear from Muslim ministry practitioners who are ministering to Muslims from the room of East Africa in different regions of Canada and join us for a time of prayer. We hope that this will fuel our prayers and our hope as we continue to Love Muslims Together.
ABOUT THE WORKERS
S and L work with youth and young adults from the Horn of Africa, focusing on sports and running as a way to connect and build relationships. They have a heart for young men who are vulnerable to the influences of gang activity, and seek to provide healthy community and support for them as they navigate life in challenging environments. Their primary way of connecting is through sports and hospitality.
Allan and his team serve with Encountering Hope Ministries Canada, a discipleship ministry aimed at building into the lives of recent refugees to Canada. The ministry leaders work hard to provide support with both physical needs as well as seeking to bring refugees to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to grow them in their faith.
