LMT Nine Rooms Learning & Prayer Gathering WEST AFRICA
LMT & Partners Event
Date / December 10, 2024 (Tuesday)
Location / Online / From 8-10PM (EST)
Something incredible is happening within the Muslim world. Muslims abroad and in Canada are confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in an unprecedented way. "There are nine geo-cultural 'rooms' in the 'House of Islam,' and the Wind of God's Spirit is blowing through every one of them" (David Garrison, author of ‘A Wind in the House of Islam’).
Since September we have been exploring the presence of people from the ‘9 rooms’ in Canada—where they are, who’s ministering among them, and what we can learn as we engage with them. This month we will feature the room of West Africa.
You are invited to hear from Muslim Background Believers (MBB) and workers who are ministering to Muslims from the room of West Africa in Canada and join us for a time of prayer.
ABOUT THE WORKERS
Pastor Nouhoum grew up in MALI, home of the famous "Timbuktu". He began his ministry as an evangelist with Campus for Christ (now Power to Change) in 1994, serving in Mali and the adjacent country of Senegal over seven years. In 2007, Nouhoum and his wife Karen founded Grace Between Nations Ministries, which exists to touch and transform lives for Christ in Mali through education, health care and evangelism via local Malian churches. Since 2017 Pastor Nouhoum has been serving as the Pastor of English Ministries at Zion Alliance Church in Markham, ON.
Brother M., a former Muslim who found salvation in Christ, was born in the town of Atar, the capital of Adar state in MAURITANIA, in a conservative and devout Muslim family. He received an Islamic education and at a young age his family sent him to a school to memorize the Qur'an. As an adult, he met a Christian man who lived in his neighborhood, who introduced him to the Gospel.
"One day in 2004, he left me a Bible before traveling. Despite my rejection, I was attracted to Christian teaching and to the idea of forgiveness of sins by God's grace and to God's fatherhood to people who follow him. I was drawn to the love, peace, and sincerity that characterize Christianity." Brother M.
Pastor Théophile is from BURKINA FASO and serves as a pastor and church planter among Muslims. He will share how it was growing up as a Christian in a majority Muslim country, about his ministry and what the Lord is doing among Muslims in his community (including the testimony of a Fulani woman who came to faith in Christ), and will encourage us to share the light of Jesus among the West African Muslim diaspora in Canada.
