LMT Network Digest - January 2023

Happy New Year!
I feel like I’m coming just under the wire in greeting you! But for being a bit late, the thought is just as sincere! Hopefully there has been some time somewhere in the flipping of the calendar to take a deep breath and sit quietly with the Lord to listen for his heart.
As I have been sitting with the Lord a theme has been popping up:
‘Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.’ Matthew 6:10
As we venture into the year, we really have no idea what’s ahead. I’m sure we all have some things pencilled into our calendar, and we have some ideas and hopes for the year. But a review of the last few years will surely highlight the reality that we have no idea what this year may hold.
Rather than face the prospect of the unknown with fear, I invite you to join me in sitting with the anticipation of what God will do in this year—in us, through us, beyond us. God is at work in the messiness and the chaos as well as the spaces of quietness and beauty. May God give us eyes to see what he’s doing so that we can join him!
And let’s lean in to pray together:
‘Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.’ Matthew 6:10
May God give us courage and boldness, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to be agents of his Kingdom coming!
