Something incredible is happening within the Muslim world. Muslims abroad and in Canada are confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in an unprecedented way. "There are nine geo-cultural 'rooms' in the 'House of Islam,' and the Wind of God's Spirit is blowing through every one of them" (David Garrison, author of ‘A Wind in the House of Islam’).

From September 2024 until June of 2025 we will be exploring the presence of people from the ‘9 rooms’ in Canada—where they are, who’s ministering among them, and what we can learn as we engage with them.*

This month we invite you to pray for the PERSIAN room. 

THE MUSLIM DIASPORA IN CANADA FROM THE PERSIAN ROOM*

  • People from the Persian room in Canada: 238,120
  • Muslims from the Persian room in Canada: 213,940 (90%)

BY COUNTRY

  • 46% of the Muslims from the Persian room in Canada are from Iran
  • 38% of the Muslims from the Persian room in Canada are from Afghanistan
  • 14% of the Muslims from the Persian room in Canada are from Armenia
  • 2% of the Muslims from the Persian room in Canada are from Tajikistan

TOP THREE CITIES BY POPULATION

  • 40% of the Muslims from the Persian room in Canada live in Toronto
  • 30% of the Muslims from the Persian room in Canada live in Montreal
  • 13% of the Muslims from the Persian room in Canada live in Vancouver

PRAYER POINTS

  • Pray for the hope and peace of Jesus to expel rampant despair, depression, and fear.

  • Pray for Christians Canada to be burdened to pray for and engage with Muslims from the Persian room in their communities.

  • Pray for Muslim ministry practitioners serving the Persian diaspora in Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver (and accross Canada). 

  • Pray for MBBs from the Persian room who have settled in Canada that God may strengthen them as they shine Jesus's light among their family memebrs that are still following Islam.

  • Pray for increasing access to the Gospel through courageous witnesses and creative media.

  • Pray for your Muslim friends from the Persian room in Canada, that they may find in you and in a church community a new family.
