NETWORK LIFE

November 12, 2023

As we continue to strive to ENCOURAGE, INSPIRE, MOBILIZE, EQUIP and SUPPORT the Church in Canada to love Muslims in their communities and walk alongside them in their journey to Jesus, our leadership team joined in prayer for two consecutive days this month to hear from God what He has in store for the LMT Network in the upcoming year.

We specifically prayed into these areas:

  • What is the call for the days ahead? What ‘new thing’ might the Lord want to show us?
  • That God would raise up and strengthen the leadership of the LMT network. Several have had to step back from leadership because of personal circumstances. We want to hear what the Lord is saying to us, and who he is raising up for this ministry.
  • That God would strengthen and encourage those who are reaching out and ministering to Muslims in Canada.
  • That God would stir the hearts of many Muslims in Canada. That as we gather online or in person, we would discover that God has prepared the way for a much greater harvest.

And we discussed the following:

  • The results of the 'Network Value Survey' that was sent out to the Network in September
  • What impact are we having in Muslim outreach across Canada? How do we measure it?
  • How can we better serve the Church in their outreach to Muslims in Canada?
  • Are there any gaps that need to be filled?

We invite yuo to join us in continuous prayer as we take on initiatives that resulted from this time of prayer and continue to serve the Church in Canada to love and disciple Muslims in our communities.

About Loving Muslims Together

Loving Muslims Together exists because God’s love, demonstrated through Jesus Christ, is for Muslims. We function as local networks across Canada. We work to connect people and churches to opportunities, training and resources to help them build bridges to their Muslim neighbours, living out God’s love in word and deed.

Mosque communities are often the target of hate and racism, but we are called to love. Perhaps the most loving thing we can do is to pray. Use this monthly blog to help inspire prayers of love and compassion for those who call your neighbourhood mosque their home.

No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion.

You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength and all your mind. And your neighbor as yourself.
