LMT Network Digest - September 2022

A Fresh Start
September always feels like the beginning of the year to me. Maybe you feel the same? Hot, sunny summer days spent outdoors are behind; there’s a coolness in the air, and fall routines and priorities are starting up. But this September, coming at the end of two years of pandemic restrictions feels like not just the turning of a page in a book, but perhaps the start of a new chapter. What story will this chapter tell?
The LMT Network is a beautiful but fragile thing. It depends entirely on people voluntarily connecting around a shared vision—choosing to know and be known, choosing to be community. But if you’re passionate that every Muslim in Canada would have an opportunity to become a disciple of Jesus Christ, then you belong here.
It’s incredibly easy for the busyness of life to crowd out our margin for connectedness, but I’m hoping to make a case for adjusting priorities to protect a bit of time and space to engage in the Network this year. We are scattered across Canada, but I’m confident that there are people in your community or online who would be glad to connect and pray with you for your Muslim neighbors. I’m certain there is someone who has experience with a particular ministry outreach idea you’re considering and would be glad to coach you. I’m confident there’s a ministry in your community that would be glad to talk with you about volunteer opportunities. I’m positive there’s a Muslim in your community whom the Lord of the Harvest would have you lovingly introduce to Jesus Christ.
This September, my invitation is that you lean in and get connected. Our story can’t be told without you.
