To Help you Pray this month for your Local Mosque Community.
Interviews with those, who after coming to North America, chose to leave Islam to follow Jesus, identified some key common factors that were fruitful in their journey.
Fruitful Factor 2 – They had a Christian friend
"Several years ago, I was introduced to Christianity, but I was not really deep into discovering its meaning or reality. Shortly thereafter I attended a church for the first time. Something was truly different. I now believe that was the holy spirit. However, I did not explore that any further, and after a few months it passed. The turning point of my life was when I met a fellow Iranian named Ben, who was a Christian. My wife and I began to attend his bible study classes. I can simply say that I began to realize how lost I was, and I began to find myself."

"I was born in Kenya and raised as a Shia Ismaili Muslim. I met Jesus through the witness of a Christian when I came to Canada. The Holy Spirit took hold of my life and transformed darkness into light. I was overcome by the love of Jesus in Christians and by His presence."

Prayer Items:
- Pray for Christians in the neighborhood, marketplace and community gatherings to be the first to offer a welcome and begin a friendship with their Muslim neighbors, colleagues and acquaintances.
- Pray that every Muslims student would have a group of Christian friends who are living their faith actively in front of them.
- Pray that Muslim students would find their way into Christian clubs in schools and hear the Gospel clearly.
- Many new immigrants are enrolled in ESL classes. Pray for them to have Christian teachers and classmates who will befriend them, and share the hope found only in Jesus Christ. (Many immigrants to Canada come from nations where there is a strong Christian church—they have a vibrant faith and witness.)
- Pray for God to give you a Muslim friend with whom you can walk alongside in their journey to Jesus.
