9 Rooms in the House of Islam - the PERSIAN Room (February 22, 2025)

Something incredible is happening within the Muslim world. Muslims abroad and in Canada are confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior in an unprecedented way. "There are nine geo-cultural 'rooms' in the 'House of Islam,' and the Wind of God's Spirit is blowing through every one of them" (David Garrison, author of ‘A Wind in the House of Islam’).

Since September of last year we have been exploring the presence of people from the ‘9 rooms’ in Canada—where they are, who’s ministering among them, and what we can learn as we engage with them. This month we will feature the PERSIAN room.

You are invited to hear from Muslim Background Believers (MBB) and workers who are ministering to Muslims from the PERSIAN room in Canada and join us for a time of prayer.

ABOUT THE WORKERS

Ali - Before the 1979 Islamic Revolution in The Islamic Republic of Iran, there were only a few hundred converts to Christianity from the country’s majority religion, Islam. Open Doors ranks Iran today as the 9th country on their World Watch List where Christians face the most extreme persecution. Despite that, by God’s grace and provision, in the past decade Iran has been one of the fastest-growing churches in the world. Some estimates point to a million or more Iranian converts to Christianity. You are invited to hear an inspiring testimony of brother Ali, born in a Muslim family in Iran. Ali’s family immigrated to the United States when he was six. Ali had dreams of becoming the wealthiest Muslim and continuing Islam in his family. At the age of 25 he left university to work on Wall Street. His dreams were within grasp, but the Lord had far better plans for Ali. Come join us and hear brother Ali’s inspiring story. Our special guest will share about being born and raised as a Muslim, how through the friendship with a Christian friend God revealed the truth to Him and he came to know Jesus as His Lord and Savior.

Sister S - Sister S was born and raised as a Muslim in one of the most hostile countries in the world to Christianity. She had an encounter with Jesus and was transformed by His love and grace. She now leads online Bible studies with former Muslim women who have become followers of Jesus and have also left their country of origin and settled in surrounding countries as refugees.

Victor - Victor serves with Africa Inland Mission (AIM) reaching the Muslim diaspora in Toronto. The Lord led Victor to start a Christianity Explored course in June 2022 to a growing number of interested new Iranian believers and seekers at Hope Bible Church Markham. The course was taught in English with Farsi subtitles. Through word-of-mouth, the Lord provided new Iranian students and the class was taught multiple times until June 2024. Victor would love to take this opportunity to share how the Lord is bringing many Persians into His Kingdom, and encourage brothers and sisters in Christ to engage in reaching out to our Muslim neighbours.
